Supa-MAN!

The other night while horsing around with the boys, the twins wanted to be SUPA-MAN and FLY!

They might be getting a little too big for this... but at least they're still able to now.  💗💗

Jennifer's Home!!

This evening was the best feeling ever coming home...

I pulled up to the driveway and I saw one of the twins peaking out the front window.

I waved.

He waved.

I pulled into the garage and all of the boys greeted me at the door that goes into the kitchen from the garage.

"Jennifer's home!!"  I heard one of the boys yell.

I walked into the house and they all exclaimed, "DINNER IS HERE! YAY! TACOS!!"

Yep.

They were all waiting for me because I brought home dinner... From Taco Bell. 😂😂

It's been ONE year!!

Phil and me have been married ONE YEAR already! My goodness, how time flies!  💕💖💗

We have had the support of so many great people.

  • My in-laws... because we crash their house with less than 24-hours notice and eat ALL of their food. (Ok, they help us a lot more than that!)
  • My sister-in-law... because I don't know how she does travel soccer and 4-boys.  (I'm just glad ours don't do travel sports yet!) One of these days, we'll go get our nails done!!
  • My parents... for letting me call them every day to vent about every thing in our world.
  • Phil's ex-wife and ex-in-laws... It's just amazing how well we all get along and are friends. Thank you so much!
  • We have a lady that comes to clean our house every other Monday (the Monday after our weekend with the boys). And she ROCKS! The best compliment I can give her is to recommend her to all of you!
  • All of our friends... Because we still need nights out to be adults!
  • All of our loving family!  💓

Of course, I don't know how I could be any kind of good step-mama to these five boys without an awesome ROCK, my husband Phil.  He's seen me freak out, pass out, go out, lecture, ... snuggle, love, and have a blast with our crazy life together.  😂😂

And yes, our cleaning lady came before friends and family. She saved me when I was drowning the most.  Sorry y'all....  😂😂😂😂

Introducing... Lotti!

Phil and I didn't tell the boys where we were going this morning when we left the house. They actually thought we were going to Starved Rock.

So when we showed up at some strangers house in Rockford, they were very surprised to hear that we were there to pick up a puppy!

While we were there, we looked at all of the puppies. Watched how they interacted. Pet all of them. And then it happened. There was one that I was a standout, so we took her out of the crate and let everybody hold her.

We put her back in the crate and she jumped and jumped wanting us to pick her up again.

That's how we knew she was the one.

We paid for her, got all of the papers and some food, and put her in the crate in the car.

Since we didn't even know if we would get a male or female, we had no name selected. So we wrote down names on a sheet of paper - Lilly, Pepper, Bella, Jasmine, Lotti, Jade, and a few others. We all voted to get the majority of the names and narrowed it down to Pepper and Lotti. We did a silent vote by passing around pieces of paper to circle the name of their choice.  Pepper had 1 vote and Lotti had 5 votes.

The boys have been glued to her ever since we got home. "Can I take her for a walk?"  "Can I take her outside?"  "I want to play with her!"

She loves all of the boys and all of the boys love her... 💞💞

Hey y'all...

It's been a while since my last Football and Farts blog... I could give some lame excuse, but instead how about a nice heartfelt story?

This evening at dinner, we asked who had homework and only the youngest said, "I do" in his little boy voice.

"I have to weed." 😂 (He has trouble saying his "r's".)

So I said, "Ok, you could read to me after dinner."

He hasn't read to me in a few months and I noticed tonight that he's become a very good reader!

We flipped through page after page and then we saw Texas across the top of one of the pages.  He exclaimed, "TEXAS! That's where you're from!"

"Yep! I am from Texas." 💗💗

"Milk is made in Texas."
I sent that picture to my mama and this is how that conversation turned out:

😂😂😂😂

I knew what she meant, but I had to have a smart-ass remark.  😁😁

Anyway, he finished the story and I let him have the rest of my Peanut M&M's.
