Date Night with the Twins

On Monday evening, I took the twins to their basketball practice. They talked all the way there and all the way home. They loved being together... alone... without their big brothers.

So, I asked them, "hey guys, what would you think if you two did something with me this weekend? Just the three of us?"

"YAY!"

"That'd be awesome!"

"Let's plan something!"

So we all started brainstorming (on the short car ride home).... Bradley basketball? No. Rivermen hockey? No.  Hmm... Monkey Joe's! Ok, that's a start.

One of them wanted to go to that restaurant... Flat place?  Flat house?? ... Flat something!

On Wednesday when I got home, I was met at the door by the oldest twin saying, "We need to plan our date night."  Yes sir!

So.... I said, "What do you think about this:  let's go to your basketball game on Saturday at 1:30. After that, we'll go to Monkey Joe's. Then we can have dinner at Flat Top like your brother wanted. We'll go for ice cream after dinner."

He said, "That sounds awesome!"

I presented the twins with their Saturday
"Date Night" agenda on Friday evening.
So our afternoon went kind of like this (by series of pictures):

Their basketball game. Yep, that's my stepson.
Sitting on the floor.  ðŸ˜‚😂

Monkey Joe's  (they love each other so much!)

FLAT TOP! OMG. When we got closer they
were like "There it is!!" And yes, that's a drawing of me
by the youngest. 😂😂 (I have wrinkles!!)

Cold Stone Creamery - Yummy goodness!!

As we went through the afternoon,
we checked off the items from our list.
