Throwback Tuesday Blog

I started this blog in October 2015... Well, THIS is a story from August...

I think the day went as follows - I went for a run in the morning, we went to the boys' football game, and then we hung out at the carnival in Dunlap for a while. The youngest and I even went on the ferris wheel together.

After all of the fun in the sun, I went back to my house to shower and change clothes before dinner and a movie at Phil's house.

I went back to Phil's house and we all had dinner... The boys started the TV and the movie and some where in there, I decided to sneak away to Phil's bedroom. Don't get any silly ideas here, guys!

I seriously laid down on the bed (in an awkward angled position) and just PASSED OUT.  Do you want to know what time it was?? ... It was 7:00pm! ... On a Saturday night!

I woke up the next morning, fully clothed, in the same angle I had laid down the night before and it was 7am. I JUMPED up and scolded Phil, "Why didn't you wake me up and tell me to go home??!!"

And he said, "Well, you looked so comfortable."

I asked, "Where did you sleep???"

And he said, "In this corner of the bed here."

"Phil, there is an ENTIRELY different side of the bed to sleep on - why didn't you sleep on that side??"

"Well... Because this is my side of the bed."

"OH MY GOSH... First, you didn't wake me up to go home. Second, you slept in the corner of your own bed because that's your side of the bed."

And that's when I heard them...

The boys...

They were starting to wake up... Then... I heard it...

"Jennifer... Did you stay the night?" the middle son asked.

"Yes,... I did... BUT I DIDN'T MEAN TO... I just passed out and your dad didn't wake me up to tell me to go home.... And yes, I just woke up."

He asked again, "So ... It was like a sleepover?"

"Yep... it was like a sleepover."

Oh boy.
